SpiffCo 🚀

Space Vehicle Corporation

Personal interstellar transportation, powered by the patented Freem Drive™.

About SpiffCo

Founded in 1985 by aerospace pioneer Commander Spiff, SpiffCo Space Vehicle Corporation designs and manufactures single-pilot interstellar spacecraft for the discerning explorer. Our proprietary Bosonic Ortho-Oscillating Tachyon (B.O.O.T) drive propulsion system represents a generational leap in faster-than-light travel, enabling routine transit to previously unreachable star systems.

Headquartered in an undisclosed suburban location. Primary fabrication facility constructed from recycled corrugated materials.

The B.O.O.T Drive™

Conventional propulsion is constrained by the laws of physics as currently understood. The Bosonic Ortho-Oscillating Tachyon (BOOT) Drive is not.

By generating a sustained stream of bosons oscillating orthogonally to a cloud of tachyons at the sub-atomic level, our spacecraft achieves velocities that defy peer review and several international treaties. Patent pending in jurisdictions willing to consider it.

Market Opportunity

The total addressable market for interstellar transportation is, by definition, the universe. We estimate this at approximately $47 quintillion by 2087, growing at a CAGR of "yes."

Current market penetration: less than 0.00001%. Significant whitespace remains.

Competition is minimal. Most competitors lack working hardware, viable physics, or both.

Mission History

  • Test flights launched: 1,847

  • Test flights returned: 1,847

  • Successful planetary landings: subject to interpretation

  • Hostile alien lifeforms encountered: too numerous to enumerate.

Leadership

Commander Spiff — Founder, CEO, Chief Test Pilot.

Sub-Commander Vex – COO / Head of Ops

S.I.G.H. / "Kevin" – CTO / Ship's AI

Subsidiary of an undisclosed parent organization. Reporting structure is complicated.

A Note From the Real World

If you've landed here, you probably already know me. SpiffCo is the running example I use throughout my book The Funded Founder Framework and across the Feel the Boot blog. Whenever I need a hypothetical startup to illustrate a fundraising concept, Spiff and his BOOT Drive get the call. They've been very patient about it.
